Cindy and I have been on the road – Christina Lake is the undisputed Hummingbird capital of Canada. The worlds smallest birds flock to the feeders. There were dozens. The neighbor put out her feeders April 26 and in one months time had provided 65 feeders. They eat from daylight to dark and lots!!!

:o what do you put in your feeders? is it like.. just sugar water or something?
I’ve seen quite a few videos here of hummingbird feeders, and not one of them uses the red stuff..

FYI, Ruby-throated hummingbirds are found East of the Rocky Mountains. I also saw female and male Rufous (rust colored) hummingbirds,as well as Calliope hummingbird (long strips on the neck.)

I think I saw one these at my house. Except the bird was greenish black and really, really tiny. About an inch long.

My Mom’s neighbor used to have about 6 feeders and a couple of lilac bushes that they also liked. They would definitely challenge each other, but they all fed there. She would be refilling those bottles every other day.
my house i only get 1 at at a time if 2 are there they fight for it. and i have 3 humming bird feeders.any way cute humming birds

Wow! So amazing. I love hummingbirds. I get excited when I see the 3 that hang out around my house. I can’t even imagine being so close to so many! Love it!
