After a whole lot of research, we found a certified fair trade shade-grown coffee source that compliments the Smithsonian Zoo product. Both are worthy suppliers, with excellent track records.

Our partnership with farmers involves long-term relationships and close collaboration on quality (which helps Larry’s Beans get the deep flavor profiles required for their style of slow-roasting and artistic blending)— it’s also why Cooperative Coffees has long paid higher than Fair Trade minimums for its beans.

To trace a coffee bag’s documentation trail go to Fair Trade Proof and enter the Lot Number on the bottom of the bag. Since we don’t want people to just take our word for it, we hired a third-party QCS agent to verify the legitimacy of our documents.
